When I moved a year ago, I decided not to get cable, b/c (1) I was taking a pay cut and wanted to cut down on cost, and (2) I thought that I was spending too much time watching tv that I didn't need to do. Saturday I spent WAY too much time on the couch watching tv, was gone on Sunday, and spent today watching A LOT of tv again. I was actually probably watching too much when I had 3 channels and a cable modem internet, so now that I actually have 70 channels, it gets a little addictive. With my best friend living 30 miles away, and the price of gas, it's a little costly to just drive over there and spend time with her. Sometimes I think that if I did have a home and a family that I actually cared about taking care of, that I wouldn't be just bored and just decided to lay on the couch and watch tv during my summers. I had hoped that I could really focus on eating healthy and getting in a lot of exercise this summer, but alas it's almost July with the summer half over, and all that's probably happened is I've gained 10 lbs with making multiple trips to places I really shouldn't be going. So for me, it's a lot easier to just lay down on the couch and watch tv, rather than have to think about how my life is going.

Wow.This was a big month for you-nothing earth shattering, but lots and lots of little things happening every day. You sit unassisted for longer periods of time, falling over only when you reach a little too far. You are getting quite strong, my sweet boy, and I'm so proud of how persistent you are.We started you on real baby food this month: first green beans, then peas, then carrots, and today we tried sweet potatoes for the very first time. These new foods have not been great for your diapers, but you love love love to eat. Currently you think Grandma singing E-I-E-I-O is hilarious, and sometimes you will give me a broad grin when the little mousey builds his little housey in your neck. You have also fallen in love with the baby in the mirror, and will stare at him for minutes at a time. I love it when I see those skinny little arms reach out towards me, and I scoop you up as quickly as I can. I know that I will probably start to find this habit annoying, but for now, little man, I feel like time is racing by all too quickly, and soon you will be fifteen and will want nothing to do with me. I thought I was safe when I started the Artemis Fowl books, and now I have to wait for another! This budding conviction started after the 5th Harry Potter book and was solidified after reading the 3rd Twilight book. (By the way, thank you Stephenie Meyer for making The Host one long satisfying book, loooooved it!) 3. I find that I often use the wrong words, or forms of words in sentences. For me, to use the wrong word is almost as embarrassing as sitting on gum and walking around with it dangling on my backside for all to see (I'm embarrassed a lot). I never noticed this problem until after I started studying a different language, so I guess it's all the fault of my German classes. I've cautiously started using that new word instead of either of the real ones.

A Center for Latino Studies with a certificate program modeled after Princeton’s nationally renowned Center for African American Studies could come on board as earlier as the fall of 2009, says Victoria C. “It is undeniable now that not having Latino studies would really leave Princeton students in a deficit in terms of their education.” The most recent efforts to initiate Latino studies began in the fall of 2006 when Latino students were discussing their frustration with Hispanic Heritage Month. That discussion mushroomed into in a series of meetings in which students talked about the lack of resources, lack of knowledge about how to access resources and not having a Latino studies program, among other issues. Over the summer of 2007, the students took those notes and wrote a 16-page report on the state of Hispanics at Princeton, mentioning the lack of access to mentors and the meager 1.9 percent of Hispanic full-time faculty at Princeton, Laws says. The group of alumni, many of which conduct research in Latino studies, has presented itself as a resource that Princeton officials can use as they develop the center.

The town, who really cares about him, treats her like a real person so he may get better. Predator: Requiem (2007) - The way the first movie should have been. Definitely worth picking up if you were disappointed in the first one.Bee Movie (2007) - Jerry Seinfeld & Reese Witherspoon. Now don't get me wrong, it was pretty funny it parts but I wasn't really feeling the whole bees versus the humans plot. I was actually probably watching too much when I had 3 channels and a cable modem internet, so now that I actually have 70 channels, it gets a little addictive. With my best friend living 30 miles away, and the price of gas, it's a little costly to just drive over there and spend time with her. Sometimes I think that if I did have a home and a family that I actually cared about taking care of, that I wouldn't be just bored and just decided to lay on the couch and watch tv during my summers. I had hoped that I could really focus on eating healthy and getting in a lot of exercise this summer, but alas it's almost July with the summer half over, and all that's probably happened is I've gained 10 lbs with making multiple trips to places I really shouldn't be going. So for me, it's a lot easier to just lay down on the couch and watch tv, rather than have to think about how my life is going.

Hadley Ma Sex Offenders: New Castle Pa Ladies Want Sex Too
The short version: Wednesday night I went out to dinner and BEER with my new FRIENDS which caused me to be very bleary-eyed during my Thursday morning run, where I saw a beautiful RAINBOW over the lake and close to home, a flock of COCKATOOS :-).
So more details - I've been getting work done this week, which has been good. So one is a guy from the program who's been my roommate for the last week - name's Micah and he's cool. Other is Nancy - a 21 year old not in our program, but here on an internship - a senior at a college in Connecticut interested in psychological, especially with kids. We got a bunch of dishes and shared them - a peppery beef dish, a chicken dish, a seafood medley dish (with shrimp, white fish, squid and scallops and snow peas), and Chinese broccoli. And we had some interesting conversations - about travel, about water activities (Nancy rows and Micah scubas), about grad school, about American individualism. We went to Wig and Pen - a Microbrew beer pub after dinner that was recommended to me. But I felt happy - I was hanging out, checking out Canberra, and had friends :-). I was complaining to Steve that I never saw them - they see them as like pigeons - nuisances - they are all over ANU. When all 3 of us (Steve, my mentor, and Daniel his grad student) are in, we go for awesome coffee across the street - sometimes grab a delicious muffin too. Then lunch is at 1 - Thursday we got gyros from the union and Fridays the guys always go to a sushi place on campus. Thursday I actually gave a talk to our department about my work - basically the talk I gave at the conference a couple of weeks ago. Even though no one else does my kind of research, it went really well - I got a lot of good questions (people were actually thinking about the work and all), and it was fun! Eating gyros and going to the market last weekend - that was Mom for sure. So, anyway, I'm just saying - I can't some being reminded of all of you. I am not a tourist here - I live here.
But there are things to look forward to - I leave for a long weekend in Sydney on Wednesday myself.

So more details - I've been getting work done this week, which has been good. So one is a guy from the program who's been my roommate for the last week - name's Micah and he's cool. Other is Nancy - a 21 year old not in our program, but here on an internship - a senior at a college in Connecticut interested in psychological, especially with kids. We got a bunch of dishes and shared them - a peppery beef dish, a chicken dish, a seafood medley dish (with shrimp, white fish, squid and scallops and snow peas), and Chinese broccoli. And we had some interesting conversations - about travel, about water activities (Nancy rows and Micah scubas), about grad school, about American individualism. We went to Wig and Pen - a Microbrew beer pub after dinner that was recommended to me. But I felt happy - I was hanging out, checking out Canberra, and had friends :-). I was complaining to Steve that I never saw them - they see them as like pigeons - nuisances - they are all over ANU. When all 3 of us (Steve, my mentor, and Daniel his grad student) are in, we go for awesome coffee across the street - sometimes grab a delicious muffin too. Then lunch is at 1 - Thursday we got gyros from the union and Fridays the guys always go to a sushi place on campus. Thursday I actually gave a talk to our department about my work - basically the talk I gave at the conference a couple of weeks ago. Even though no one else does my kind of research, it went really well - I got a lot of good questions (people were actually thinking about the work and all), and it was fun! Eating gyros and going to the market last weekend - that was Mom for sure. So, anyway, I'm just saying - I can't some being reminded of all of you. I am not a tourist here - I live here.
But there are things to look forward to - I leave for a long weekend in Sydney on Wednesday myself.

Our outdoor recreation this week was in the form of a vacation to Gatlinburg Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains. There are numerous hiking trails, nature walks, mountain views, and also commercial activities available. The road will take you all but the last 300 feet and then you have to walk the rest of the way up a pretty steep hill.

No Change at the top two spots this week. A crazy start to the season, things are starting to play out the way they were supposed to. Team Last Week 1. Cubs 49-31- Getting swept by the Rays their number one spot was in jeopardy, but they bounced back well with a sweep of the White Sox. They just better hope Big Z can come back strong from his shoulder injury. Red Sox 49-32- Dice-K must pitch better than he did in his first start back from the DL. Hit a little road bump in the road against the Cards, but this team is the class of the AL. Kazmir, Garza and Shields are a nasty top 3 and if Percival stays healthy they can actually win the AL East. HUGE series coming up with the Red Sox next week. Angles 48-31- Lackey is back and is rolling. Twins 43-36- I am embarrassed I had them at 19 last week. They are pitching really well right now, but I’m sorry if I have no confidence in Looper, Loshe and Pineiro. Brewers 43-35- They have been red hot in June and put themselves back in the race. White Sox 44-35- They have to bounce back from getting embarrassed by their cross-town rivals last week. Tigers 38-40- It is scary to think that the whole team may have slumped at the same time. Phillies 43-27- Games against the BoSox, Angles and A’s brought this team back to Earth. Aubrey Huff is on fire and Brian Roberts is back up to his usual numbers. No pitching and the AL East will keep them .500 all year. They need Pedro to pitch better and desperately need a LF. Rangers 40-40 Vicente Padilla has pitched really well, but no one else has. The Rays kicked their teeth in and proved which surprise Florida team is for real. Pirates 37-41- Jason Bay is back to his old ways and McLouth continues to hit.
