If we all agree that information therapy needs to be prescribed, how do we ensure that it is efficiently dispensed ? We all know that in order for an information prescription to be effective , this information should be provided at the point at which the patient wants it. He takes an appointment with his doctor, who examines him, makes a tentative diagnosis , advises some tests and scans to confirm the diagnosis ; He is dying to know what the results of the scan and blood tests mean , but they make no sense to him and unfortunately , no one is willing to tell him. The standard answer from the technician is - You need to wait to see your doctor , who will explain these results to you. patient education resource center which has books and videos about the common clinical problems the doctor sees . At the end of the consultation, the doctor writes a prescription for information about the possible diagnosis , and the tests , scans and medicines he has advised . The laboratory , the diagnostic center , and the pharmacy would also have a patient education resource center . These could just occupy a corner of about 50 - 100 sq ft and would have a core collection of basic books ; If the patient needs help , a staff member would help them find the relevant information. We all know that medicines play an important role in helping patients get better , which is why doctors prescribe them routinely .

And even though it's not started yet, Duncan thinks of the grass, either wet and cold or tall and dry and the best way to roll in it. I think of the baseball fields and how nice it is to sit on the patio and close my eyes and listen for the sound of a good solid, fly ball from the park, even though I don't enjoy baseball and think it's just a bunch of milling around only occasionally interrupted by motion.

I thought I'd just pop in on here to give you guys a couple of amazing albums to get you through this last stretch before the wonderful summer.Santogold - Self TitledI was told about this artist from circusdelight before her actual album came out. This album goes a bit beyond that, and we're given a record that feels more like a pop rock album than his previous hugely electronic outings, but still has plenty of synths and heavy beats to keep any electronic music fan happy. Vocals definitely take the front of the stage in this disc a bit more than in his past albums, but the lyrics, reeking of 1980s teenage angst like the album cover, definitely add to the whole experience.

An 1888 photograph of Helen Keller, sitting with her teacher Anne Sullivan, was rediscovered a few weeks ago:The discovery reminded me of something I heard in a seminar eight years ago and always meant to follow up. It was a quote from Keller's book My Religion, later retitled Light In My Darkness:For nearly six years I had no concepts whatever of nature or mind or death or God. I literally thought with my body. Without a single exception my memories of that time are tactile.I know I was impelled like an animal to seek food and warmth. I remember crying, but not the grief that caused the tears; I kicked, and because I recall it physically, I know I was angry. I imitated those about me when I made signs for things I wanted to eat, or helped to find eggs in my mother's farmyard. But there is not one spark of emotion or rational thought in these distinct yet corporeal memories.I was like an unconscious clod of earth. I've now added her other books to my list of must reads.Courting Emma tells the story of Emma Browning, who runs a boarding house for the misfits of Little Hickman Creek. With the time near the turn of the 20th century in Kentucky, the characters clearly fit that time and place.Sharlene had me carrying deeply about her characters from the first couple chapters, and I couldn't wait to see how all the twists, turns, and conflict would turn out and be resolved.

In my next few posts about books, I'd like to share some fun books I've read recently that would be good end of year or summer reading books to share with children.The first one is The Gollywhopper Games by Jody Feldman. The main character, Gil Goodson (don't you just love the names!), has his own personal agenda for making it into the competition, and then winning it (maybe).American Idol similarities -- thousands of contestants wait in line just to make it into the Golly Toy and Game Company's facility where the competition will be held. It's not full of beautiful, descriptive language (though the descriptions of the inside of The Golly Toys and Games Company are quite detailed), but it's fun, and it made me think -- I really wanted to solve some of the puzzles. There's even a twist at the end that ties up the loose ends.Jody Feldman must have had fun thinking of all the puzzles, because she leaves the readers with one final puzzle AFTER the ending.My last rationale for why you should read The Gollywhopper Games -- just saying the title makes me smile!

Friday night Hitomi and I rode the bus to Minami Urawa station and met the other 3rd year teachers for dinner and alcohol. Then there was the Brass Band director and assistant director, Hitomi, myself, and 2 teachers who left Warabi this semester. Plus it helps that we’ve all been drunk together….twice now.On Friday at the end of the day I made my way back up to the band room and watched the kids practice. I didn’t feel like interrupting or anything I just wanted to relax and watch. Turns out, the band was performing at this big shopping store on Saturday afternoon and they wanted me to come. We have a park next to our apartment building so I wanted to be able to play basketball f I was bored and needed to get outside. But like I’ve said before, I wanted to work a job where I can see the progress. Jesse and I had to go to Akiba in the morning and return this wireless router he bought because our internet modem ended up having a wireless card. We came across the KFC and this sexily dressed colonel......When we got home we went over to the park and played basketball for like and hour and watched little kids unicycle.

As I said, it just felt good, and though I know people worried, it was an important step for me to take.My sermon is now posted online for people to listen to if they would like, and other pre-stroke ones are on there too. You see, I can tell and I know I am not where I want to be......and though I am certainly curious, hearing myself struggle at all probably do not serve me well at all. I really do already know what I sound like, and I also already know I don't intend to sound like that for long! My intention now is not just to be back, but to stay back for the rest of the time the good Lord intends for me to.

Of course, we continue to run the sterilizer in the microwave, even after we kashered said microwave for the holiday.On Saturday afternoon we offered E some Temp-Tee. And we ate lots of leftovers.On Tuesday I picked up the girls from school and E didn’t take the time to give me her usual exuberant hug. E resumed solid foods, if black beans from a can could be considered solids.On Thursday, my lunch was pitiful – And M’s was even less exciting.On Thursday night E wanted nothing but beans for dinner, which we have been giving her at the coffee table in the family room, due to their chametz-ness. And E, who is so delightfully entering the famous two-year-old phase of I-shall-purposefully-do-that-thing-you-least-want-me-to-do-so-I-can-delight-in-your-reaction, poured beans and bean juice all over the coffee table. Happy chametz juice to you, carpet!On Friday I collected the girls, dropped L off at home with M, and took E to the grocery store so we could refresh our stock of red apples but not green, red grapes but not green, and green pears but not brown, and more milk – so we’d be ready for Shabbat and holiday mode all over again.On Friday we found two more tubs of Temp-Tee in the back of the fridge, and the weekend was redeemed.On Saturday, E decided to brave the whipped texture, and seven days in and one tub left, to our dismay, just then decided I like it!

hee)quakers...frosties..chocolates andetcetcetc (I'm trying my best to keep it healthy)2) post-its pasted by leon right in front of us while we were mugging .. one hour ride from my home, met him, took bus to his home, yes not taxi.. and we went into his condo void deck hoping to get some personal time tgt after like 2 whole weeks, and then this security guard saw us (apparently they're frenz) so that insensitive guy jus keep talking to us for like super long.. when he didnt seem to hav the intention to go away and spare us, we decided it was time for home.. heheei wana thank God for my dad and mom.. words are never enough to say it all.a wonderful church service, sunday school and fellowship timewhich totally spoke to me, to let go, not to hold too tightly, to learn to lean on God, not on own manipulation, plans and anxiety. learn to receive God's blessings and not to take it on myself.thank you God for the repeated unfading reminders.

Today, we're going to see what we can find by monitoring FTP port 21 (as opposed to FTP data port 20).Again, a quick note: Today's simple script and demonstration are provided simply to shine a light on a vulnerability that has existed for quite some time, and not as an invitation to illegal activity. I'd like to think that posts, and articles everywhere, on this subject serve as a consistent reminder that, if you really want to try and keep your information secure, you shouldn't use unsecure protocols. For instance, as an alternate to straight-up FTP, programs like SCP and SFTP (Technically a subsystem of SSH, running on port 22) are freely available and would make this method of gaining information impossible.Hopefully this bash shell script will help out a few sys admins out there. Actually, getting information from FTP port 21 is so simple that the script could actually be written on one succinct command line.Rather than go into a long convoluted dissection of how the process works (which we beat to death in our post on grabbing passwords with snoop over Telnet), I've attached a small video to this post (see above). Vayikra/Leviticus 19:15-32Most of our contemporaries within the framework of Christianity believe that Torah is an antiquated, archaic list of do’s and don’ts. Nevertheless, “the grass withers, and the flower fades, but the word of our YHVH stands forever.” Torah continually disclose the way in which everyday Israel is to live everyday lives.These instructions continue to have germane application for us and are beneficial to our well being. Some would argue that it is just a ridiculous thought to leave produce on the corners of a planted field or to leave sections of the harvest in the vineyard. Yes, if we do not have spiritual eyes, it does not make sense. However, the application of Torah precepts is very significant to the physical and spiritual realms of our lives. Devarim 15:4 states that, “There should be no poor among you, for in the land YHVH your Elohim is giving you to possess as your inheritance, He will richly bless you.” Not only should we be walking in Covenant with YHVH, but as we do, His blessings will overtake us. When we see those who are having a difficult time, we should always contribute to them from our possessions. YHVH is pleased with our righteous actions of obedience as our hearts are stirred with compassion to bless those around us with the portion of our tithes in the third year.The faces of men of YHVH should show forth the portions that are due to the orphan, widow, Levite and needy. The application of not harming the edges of beards or rounding side growths of heads seemingly applies to what YHVH has created upon man should not be frivolously removed. It should be reminders to all of Israel that what belongs to YHVH is His and cannot be cut off due to man's whims. YHVH determines what belongs to whom and who belongs to Him.The mere suggestion that YHVH’s teaching and instructions are archaic or are just a running checklist of do’s and don’ts is a serious breach of faith in YHVH. He has given all of Torah as the book of His character. This character is, in fact, the sanctification He places in our hearts by the Ruach HaKodesh to walk out His precepts. It is also the Book containing the distinctiveness of YHVH. It explains how we are to carefully pay heed to Who YHVH is, how He acts, why He takes specific actions, and why He allows us to walk in adversity. The scriptural catalog of do’s and don’ts gives way to a lifestyle that emanates from Heaven and provides us a roadway in the wilderness. Through Torah YHVH shows us a living example of creation, conviction and judgment for all of the hosts of heaven and earth to observe.The commandments of Torah give us practical understanding of His Covenant; and the principles of YHVH’s instructions provide us with the proofing ground to walk uprightly in holiness. We are commanded to keep Covenant with YHVH which establishes the true way (life) and warns us of the wrong way (death). He clearly marks the path before us. If we go astray into the realm of death, Torah guides us back through the power of His Ruach to the Way, the Truth and the Life. When YHVH translates us from darkness into His marvelous Light, He inscribes Torah upon our hearts and His Ruach leads us by His saving grace. He is likened to an automated warning system that has been enabled inside our hearts when we choose Life and die to the old man and our former sin nature.Moreover, Torah is the benchmark for the most prevalent test of all—the confirmation that Yeshua is Messiah and the Son of YHVH and YHVH in the form of man. When we miscomprehend Torah, we do not fully understand Messiah and have been building upon faulty foundation. We are told to test every spirit. When we hold Messiah up to the Light of YHVH’s Word, there is no mistaking that He is the Light of the world. When we live in His Light, and become light bearers of Him in this dark world, He is exhibited as the Word of YHVH in our lives. We are to put our hands to the plow to walk in the commandments because we love Him. back in december, my workplace watched a video by pastor john bevere about submitting to authority, including familial authority. according to pastor bevere (and many other christians), scripture declares that the husband is the head of the household and the wife's duty is to submit to him.on the day we watched this video and discussed it during our staff meeting, i found myself in complete disagreement with pastor bevere's stance on the roles of husband and wife. needing to process these things with some older and wiser people, i called my parents that night to get their take on the whole husband is the head and the wife submits idea.i learned that my parents heartily support the mutuality argument for marriage; that is to say, that husbands submit, too. we talked about various points in the new testament, and while there is scripture to support both sides of the argument, my dad cautioned me to look at the totality of a message in scripture and not just pull out isolated verses (i.e., prooftexting). these are the things we talked about that night:ephesians 5:21 says: and further, you will submit to one another out of your reverence for Christ. yes, i am aware of the verses that follow this one. but far too many people - especially christian men (and married christian men) - completely gloss over this verse as they rush to read 5:22-24.my dad is a pastor, and has seen this himself. one time a member of his church met with him to talk about his marital troubles. the man angrily exclaimed, my wife is supposed to submit to me! thats what scripture says!" my dad placed a bible in the mans hands and asked him to find the exact scripture that said so. the man opened the bible and read ephesians 5:22. my dad gently responded by asking him to read the preceding verse.in 1 corinthians 7:4, paul writes that husbands and wives are to submit to one another in their sexual relationship: the wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband also gives authority over his body to his wife. if spouses are to submit to one another in the most intimate part of their marriage, that idea of mutuality should spill over into every area of their relationship.when i read the gospels and look at how Jesus treated women, i would argue that he was the only perfect egalitarian to ever walk this earth. he saw women as worthy disciples, worthy financial supporters, and worthy messengers and eyewitnesses. after his resurrection, he appeared to mary first, even before his disciples.in john 4, Jesus traveled all the way from judea to samaria because he valued a woman that everyone else scorned. in contrast, his male companions were shocked to find him in conversation with her. time and time again, Jesus encountered women who, according to the rest of the crowd, were scandalous, unworthy, or stupid. yet Jesus always responded with tenderness, acceptance, and affirmation.at one point Jesus disciples were arguing about who among them was the greatest. Jesus responded, "you know that in this world kings are tyrants, and officials lord it over the people beneath them. but among you it should be quite different. whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must become your slave." (matthew 20:25-27)Jesus wasnt just blowing hot air here. after all, what in all the gospels can top the story of Jesus, the king of kings, stooping down to wash the grime off of his disciples feet? i see in each of these verses and stories a model for mutual submission in marriage, as well as every other relationship.author dorothy sayers captures Jesus egalitarianism best in this incredibly poignant summary:perhaps it is no wonder that the women were first at the cradle and last at the cross. they had never known a man like this man - there had never been such another. a prophet and teacher who never nagged at them, who never flattered or coaxed or patronized; who never made arch jokes about them, never treated them either as 'the women, God help us!' or 'the ladies, God bless them!'; who rebuked without querulousness and praised without condescension; who took their questions and arguments seriously, who never mapped out their sphere for them, never urged them to be feminine or jeered at them for being female; who had no ax to grind and no uneasy male dignity to defend; who took them as a he found them and was completely unselfconscious.there is no act, no sermon, no parable in the whole gospel that borrows its pungency from female perversity; nobody could possibly guess from the words of Jesus that there was anything 'funny' about woman's nature. but we might easily deduce it from his contemporaries, and from his prophets before him, and from his church to this day.See full article here (link)
