First, off I don't know if I will have the opportunity to write you next week or not. But one thing that I know for sure is that I'm going to be home sooner than I know it! I got a few, because I don't know if I'm going to have a lot of space in my suitcases, but I think I'm happy with what I've got. But, once p-day was over and done with, my companion and I were out on the street again with our sign board, and talking with anyone and everyone that would pass us by. I think that I'm going to miss sign boarding more than any other aspect of missionary work, my companion and I agree that it makes one feel more like a missionary than anything else. One of them is from England and doesn't know a single word in Russian, and he was with his friend Sergei, who used to be a teacher here. They seemed to know the Bible pretty well, and tried to offend us by trying to twist every word we said, but they just wouldn't get over it. We got to the same building and my companion signed one paper one time, and then they said that the paperwork would be done in 20 minutes.... I don't know Poltava that well, but as a governmental rule, we're not allowed to proselyte in a city unless we are registered. The time flew, and before I knew it, it was 7pm. We could tell that they just wanted to know about us, so we tried to teach them the first lesson. That was a lot of fun and the investigators expressed their desire to get baptised and we talked a lot with the male member about church leadership and what needs to take place in this small city before it starts to grow at a really fast rate. We taught them really well in my opinion, and I could tell that the things we talked about in the first lesson were things that they had never thought about, but knew that they were true. We gave them the commitment to pray to know if what we had said was true, and if they should try to read the Book of Mormon. After his relatives left, we had a nice long talk with them, and I told his wife that I'm leaving in two weeks, and she started to cry.
