Newfoundland Bound: One last good deed for one last good day
Changes to Canada's immigration act passed in the House of Commons on Monday evening. Conservatives say the measures are needed to get labour into Canada, even though StatsCan reports that immigrants aren't filling any gap in the employment system. Canadians simply won't stand for not letting in people who have no skills and no interest in Canada. I suppose he wanted Canada to agree to ship the poor of the world wholesale to Toronto.

Forgive me.My last week has been really really busy, and I couldn't ask for a better way to start the end of my mission.Last tuesday we woke up early in the morning to go to Poltava for zone conference. This was pretty upsetting news because we wanted to go to some investigator lessons, and had to cancil them, but we were lucky enough to have our companions take care of one of the lessons for us.Friday morning we had our weekly planning. Then after that we, with my companion, went sign boarding all night. It was a pretty bad night to be doing anything outside because of school graduations, but we still have opportunities to talk to some pretty neat people.Saturday morning we woke up to a school across the street playing music really loud. Then after studies we made another attempt to sign boarding, which seemed like sign boarding in a ghost town, so after a few long hours of that, we turned to more effective means of doing things. Church was really nice and spiritual, and our investigators had lots of great questions, and were able to answer questions for some of the investigators that lived in Poltava. We were able to talk to quite a lot of really neat people, and get a few contacts. Then this morning after we went to the store, we got a taxi back to our house.... He said he didn't want a Book of Mormon, but wants to come to church.

It was dead but I remembered Bunn had a phone similar to it and he could possibly charge it. I called back the last number that called the phone and spoke to Holly's dad (I assumed her name was Holly because her screen name was Hols) and figured out she worked at Boston Pizza (also he had Boston Pizza saved in her address book... So I carried the phone around with me today assume someone would call again but alas no. Dale, Bunn and myself went out for one last beer as a 375 crew (best 9 months ever man!) and turns out Holly was working! I returned her phone and we got a free pither of beer for it. Turth be tolda) I would have asked her out had I not been moving to St. John'sb) I wanted to through the phone away when I found it deadc) we took photos with it but I deleted them.
