When I moved a year ago, I decided not to get cable, b/c (1) I was taking a pay cut and wanted to cut down on cost, and (2) I thought that I was spending too much time watching tv that I didn't need to do. Saturday I spent WAY too much time on the couch watching tv, was gone on Sunday, and spent today watching A LOT of tv again. I was actually probably watching too much when I had 3 channels and a cable modem internet, so now that I actually have 70 channels, it gets a little addictive. With my best friend living 30 miles away, and the price of gas, it's a little costly to just drive over there and spend time with her. I had hoped that I could really focus on eating healthy and getting in a lot of exercise this summer, but alas it's almost July with the summer half over, and all that's probably happened is I've gained 10 lbs with making multiple trips to places I really shouldn't be going. So for me, it's a lot easier to just lay down on the couch and watch tv, rather than have to think about how my life is going.
