How you handle risk as it applies to the software under test will determine how successful your testing is. Something, whether new features, new requirements, new or old bugs, will put the project at risk. On the testing side, you will always have to concentrate on finding the bugs that put your project most at risk. Most at risk today that is...3) Whats at Risk?" You can try to anticipate everything in advance, but in the course of testing, you always learn something new and have to change the plan to incorporate new or changed tests based on the risks that the project is currently facing. Early in a project's development, the major risk may be that new features are simply buggy, or that integrations between major project subsystems are in conflict, or that the build process is so immature that unintended software changes are introduced. Later on in a project's development, the major risk may be that the original designers of a project have been replaced by new engineers who, in the course of fixing bugs, break the existing design. You have to manage your resources and testing to find the bugs that matter most.Third, don't expect that you can relax because all the risks have been mitigated. In the time that it took you to read this blog post, a new risk was probably either exposed, inadvertently coded, or dreamed up down the hall in marketing.

It’s also a fantastically downplayed CD trading site. Back in 2006 or so, Lala was primarily a platform for trading CDs with other users. Today, the focus is on its music player but the trading community is what makes it a great site. For per trade and $.75 for shipping, you can request CDs from other users. Electing to receive CDs without cover art can speed up the trading process as lots of people are missing artwork. To keep the trading fair, Lala ensures the ratio of sent vs. You can always see how many CDs you’ve traded, how many are on the way, and which are awaiting receipt confirmation. Lala’s policy states that all traded CDs must be in good condition. If you receive a damaged disc you can report it.You’ll notice when you go to Lala.com that there is no information on CD trading. Trading CDs this effectively, now there’s an edge.If you’re looking for a way to trade more than just CDs, Mark did a great post titled “9 Websites to Swap Your Stuff”. There’s also a post in the directory that highlights Lala’s music player features. As the epitome of a music/tech geek hybrid, Lala satisfies both my hunger for a new, tangible, piece of music (hooray for album artwork!) and my need to constantly stay connected to the digital world. It’s a fun and useful spin on trading music online.Written by Renee Valdez, A dot com junkie, music lover and frequent blogger at Shopwiki’s Overlooked, a blog showcasing overlooked products from Shopwiki’s webcrawlers.Partners: 1.
