This is one of those times where the medical care here and in the States does not line up or fully agree. At this point in the game in the States, her gall bladder would very likely be taken out to prevent this from happening again. But here, we’d just keep going for the meds and her living in fear of the attacks – With the full agreement of those in leadership over us, we’ve decided that for Diane and the baby’s safety, we need to come back to the States to see a doctor and possibly move ahead with the gall bladder removal surgery, if that doctor deems it necessary. and here is a glimpse of what we can think of now: - For Diane to not have any more attacks this week or while we are traveling - like Chris preparing his lessons to have his 3 classes covered by other teachers - Praise Dad that we were able to change our tickets to leave here and all the travel details have fallen into place – please pr that traveling itself goes smoothly and that all flights are on time - If we do not get the Visas renewed in time, we have to repeat a lengthy, inconvenient process to re-apply when we come back in September and get a temporary visa in the meantime in order to return to the country. For us to have wisdom about IF Chris should return to teach, depending on whatever the circumstances are with our family - For the staff here to be cared for and refreshed as they prepare for a very busy time of year with graduation and some other activities that will be starting soon - like driving, sticker shock on buying things, hearing a language spoken all around us that we can understand and being overwhelmed by it, and seeing how life has successfully moved on without us in the lives of people we care about - Diane will not be seeing any of our Grade 2 students, interns, and some of the staff members again and this is a very sudden, hard to deal with change - While we will have no problem with transportation in the States until the baby comes at the beginning of August, we are still asking Dad for a vehicle that will fit 3 car seats in the back (as opposed to our 2-door Honda J )
