I recently went to a luncheon put on by a local chapter of my sorority to honor a few community leaders and award a scholarship to a local student who, despite family and economic challenges, still forges ahead with his/her education. The luncheon is the EVENT OF THE YEAR for this chapter and the ladies all turn out in the best of their best Sunday best.
